This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Yucuna iOS application (“the App”) distributed on the Apple App Store. The Yucuna B2B web platform (Yucuna Dashboard) is governed by a separate privacy policy available at yucuna.com/privacy-policy.
Art. 1. Preamble
This Privacy Policy explains how Quattro Creative SARL (“Quattro Creative”, “Yucuna”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles personal data in connection with the Yucuna iOS App.
Summary in one sentence: Yucuna is a privacy-first carbon footprint tracker. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. All processing happens locally on the user’s device.
We are committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Luxembourg data protection laws.
Art. 2. Data controller
The App is operated by:
Quattro Creative SARL
Registered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
Registered Office: 24, rue Neuort – 8373 Hobscheid
RCS Luxembourg: B201267
Email: hello@wearequattro.com
Website: www.wearequattro.com
Art. 3. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal data through the App.
The App is designed to function entirely on the user’s device. No account is required. No sign-up, no login, no email, no phone number, no payment information is requested or stored.
Data accessed locally on the device
The App accesses the following information exclusively on the user’s iPhone, with the user’s explicit consent. This information never leaves the device and is never transmitted to Quattro Creative or any third party:
- Screen Time data — read via Apple’s Family Controls and DeviceActivity APIs (per-app and per-category usage duration). Used to estimate CO₂ emissions associated with phone usage.
- App selection preferences — apps the user chooses to block during Eco Mode sessions. Stored locally as opaque tokens provided by Apple (the App cannot read the actual app identities — only Apple knows which apps these tokens represent).
- Onboarding preferences — user’s stated daily screen time, motivation, occupation. Stored locally in the device’s secure database (SwiftData / App Group container).
- Activity history — daily CO₂ records and completed Eco Mode sessions. Stored locally only.
- Notification permission status — whether the user has authorized local notifications.
No tracking, no analytics, no advertising
- No third-party analytics SDK is integrated.
- No advertising SDK is integrated.
- No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown because the App does not track users.
- No identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, device ID, etc.) are collected or transmitted.
Art. 4. Purposes of Processing
The local processing performed on the user’s device serves the following purposes:
Display an estimate of CO₂ emissions associated with phone usage.
Identify high-impact apps and provide breakdown views
Enable user-initiated “Eco Mode” sessions that temporarily block selected apps.
Generate personalized weekly summaries using Apple Intelligence (on-device AI — see Art. 10).
Deliver local notifications (weekly summary reminder, daily goal alerts).
Maintain progress data (streaks, rewards, levels).
All processing occurs locally. No data leaves the device for any of these purposes.
Art. 5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where GDPR applies, the limited local processing described above relies on:
User consent, where the App requests authorization for Screen Time access (Family Controls) and local notifications. Consent may be granted or withdrawn at any time through the iOS Settings app.
Performance of a contract, when the user accepts these Terms by using the App.
The user may withdraw any consent at any time. Withdrawing Screen Time consent will disable the carbon tracking and Eco Mode features but does not affect data already shown on screen (which is recalculated from new, post-revocation data).
Art. 6. Data Sharing
We do not share any personal data with any third party. This includes — but is not limited to:
No data is sent to cloud hosting providers (the App has no backend server).
No data is sent to analytics services.
No data is sent to advertising networks or data brokers.
No data is sent to payment processors (the App is free and contains no in-app purchases).
No data is sold or licensed.
The only data exchanges that occur are:
Between the main App and its iOS App Extensions (Widget, Shield Configuration, Device Activity Report) via a shared App Group container that resides entirely on the user’s device.
Between the App and Apple’s iOS frameworks (Family Controls, DeviceActivity, ManagedSettings, UserNotifications), all of which are governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.
Art. 7. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on the user’s device:
Data persists on the device for as long as the App is installed.
Uninstalling the App permanently and irreversibly deletes all associated data (SwiftData store, App Group container, cached preferences).
Quattro Creative cannot recover or restore data after uninstall, as we never had a copy.
Art. 8. Your Rights under GDPR
Because Quattro Creative does not collect or store any personal data through the App, most GDPR rights are exercised directly by the user without needing to contact us:
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Luxembourg, the competent authority is:
Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD) https://cnpd.public.lu/
For any data-related question, you may also contact us at the address provided in Art. 12.
Art. 9. Children’s Privacy
The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages.
We do not knowingly collect any personal data from any user, including children, because the App does not collect data at all. If a minor uses the App, no data about that minor is transmitted to Quattro Creative or any third party.
Parents and legal guardians may control their child’s access to the App through Apple’s Screen Time and Family Sharing features.
Art. 10. Apple Frameworks and On-Device AI
The App relies exclusively on Apple-native frameworks to function. These frameworks are part of iOS and are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy):
We have no control over Apple’s privacy practices regarding these frameworks beyond what is documented by Apple itself. The App is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store. App Store distribution and download analytics (e.g., installs, crashes, ratings) are handled by Apple under their own privacy policy. Quattro Creative receives only aggregated, anonymized statistics through App Store Connect and cannot identify individual users. The App does not integrate any non-Apple third-party SDK, service, or framework. There is no Meta, Google, Facebook, Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, AppsFlyer, or comparable third-party integration of any kind.
Art. 11. Security
Because no data is transmitted off the device, the primary security measures are those provided by iOS itself:
- Data Protection encryption applied automatically by iOS to the App’s storage.
- Sandboxing of the App and its extensions enforced by the operating system.
- App Group container access is restricted to the App’s own bundle identifiers (com.quattrocreative.yucuna.*).
- App tokens used to identify blocked apps are opaque values managed by Apple — even Quattro Creative cannot resolve them back to specific app identities.
In the unlikely event of a security incident affecting Quattro Creative’s infrastructure, the App would not be affected, as it does not communicate with our infrastructure.

Art. 13. Contact
